Cheap Phone Calls
There is a service that has been around for a while now called 1899 which allows you to make phone calls at very cheap fixed rates. For example to UK fixed/land lines it is free! To a mobile phone on the weekend just 3 pence per minute. There are also great savings if you want to phone abroad for example, Germany for 0.5 pence a minute or the USA for just one pence per minute. These rates are if you have a BT phone line, for other phone line providers such as Telewest it is slightly more but still very cheap.
How it works is you sign up for free, and then you enter your billing details, which will be your debit or credit card. Then simply dial 1899 followed by the number you are calling and you can have your phone call like normal, the quality of the sound is just fine. Then once you have finished your call this is logged to your account and at the end of the month the call charges are added up and billed to your card. Really very easy. There are other similar companies, but for now, 1899 are the cheapest.
